The Columbian Exchange was an exchange between the Americas and Europe. It all started when Columbus went to America in the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria over the Atlantic to originally find a way to Asia faster but found himself in America. He thought he was in India when he landed so he called the people there Indies. He brought back many things when he went back to Spain. He brought back slaves, flowers, animals, new ways of life, and things that the 'Indies' believed in.
When he got there the people greeted him. He soon began giving the people diseases and killing them for their rich land. His new goal was to take the land for himself and to bring it back for Spain. He did wrong to the people of the Americas by taking them back as prizes to show what he had done. The diseases that his body was immune to, they were not. They died of many diseases, and their people were enslaved.
The good things that came out of the exchange was that was the cultural diffusion and the food that went across the Atlantic. The medicine that went to the English. The new land that Europe earned. The Americans didn't earn very much.

On Tuesday the seventh graders at Edison Computech went to the zoo. While we were there we saw the animal we have been studying for the past 3 weeks. There were stations that we had to finish while we were waiting for the trip to end, or when we were going to see the bird show. My group did many stations like the owl station where you had to wear a thing on your head and look forward while someone moved a little tab while you tried to see it without moving your eyes.
My favorite station was the Kangaroo station where you had to jump as far as you could and if you jumped a certain length you could jump like a Kangaroo. I liked that station because it was fun to see if I could jump as far or farther than the Kangaroo. I could jump as far as a Kangaroo. I really like that station. I was very fun!
