Have you ever wondered who the griots (Grio) where and how important they were in the civilizations in West Africa? Well the grits were ancient storytellers. They told stories about what happened in the past and what may happen in the future. Most of the time they were right and the kings kept them by their side, But when they would be wrong the kings would send them off, into a deserted place.
The Griots job was to not only entertain but to remind people what happened and how something came to be. The kings relied on their stories to make sure nothing would go wrong in the time being.
