One think I am thankful for is my family. They are always there for when I need them. Even though they are not the best at everything they still come through for my brothers and I. Also because they give me presents and love me unconditionally. I may fight with my brothers and get mad at my mother once and a while but they are still there.
Another thing I am gratful for is Computech. Some people may think that I barely heard about it, but I have wanted to go here since Kindergarten. Computech is amazing, and the teachers here are great.

Do you want to know what I think the greatest Chinese achievements are? I think the greatest Chinese achievements are Gunpowder and smallpox injection. I think the gunpowder is a great achievement because we use gunpowder in our guns to fight other countries. Today we use a more advanced version, but some people use old guns and they may still need the gun powder. Today the gunpowder may be put on display at a museum or exhibit.
I think a small pox injection is a great achievement because many people can't get it because of the Chinese.

My family is a family who has recently produced may great knights. We are known for that. One day we got a letter from the Pope Urban 2. He has offered us a spot in the crusade against the Muslims. They said that many people have already signed up for this war. My family has only mu uncle left. He is too old to fight, so that leaves it up to me. I don't know because I could be killed on an instant.
I know that Palestine is a very dry and barren land so I could not be ready for this kind of challenge. They say that I could see more than my house and the land around it. I don't think I really want to because my uncle could get sick while I'm gone. I could be hit with the Black Death while out.

I have been running from the steward and now I don't know if I can go any farther. I have come to a town that has probably been wiped out because of the Plague. This has really given me the chills. There is a man who has been hung. Maybe for treason, for lying or even theft. This makes me sad. What if they do this to me, if they find me. His eyes are the out of his head. He has skin off of his body. I am terrified. I keep walking. I come to a church that has decayed over time.
I think I may have heard some singing from the inside, but I'm not sure. I hear it again. Maybe it's an angel from above trying to tell me that my time has come to an end. I sneak quietly inside. I see a man the size of a pumpkin. He may have heard me. He turns around and spots me. He has a dagger by his side and grabs at it. He asks what I was doing there. He sizes me up and laughs. The way I look is amusing to him.

One crazy while coming home from something in another town I smelled smoke. The air was clear until I reached the top of the hill. I got closer and that's when it hit me. The village was on fire. Afraid I broke out into a run towards the city. Suddenly, I see ships leaving the docks. I am afraid that my family will not get out on time.
When I get there, everyone has escaped the eternal burning pit of death. In the distance I heard a little boy screaming for help. I ran by instinct. I called some friends of mine and we got the little boy to safety. I felt good. How are we going to rebuild our village, refurbish our shops? this will take forever. Then something happened to where everyone went to work. It was amazing they were like the undead. This was amazing. The village was rebuilt in more than week. The feeling was amazing. The village was back and better than ever. We refurbished from trade, and the material from the houses came from our trade. Hard work and dedication fixed our small village.

My most important new years resolution is to get straight A's  for one of my years at Computech. It seemed very hard. I know I can do it one thing is for sure, if I get at least one B and the rest are A's I will be very happy with myself. This will call for turning in all assignments on time and the correct way.
The things that I will do as an effort to get straight A's will be to do all work, finish on time and to not be lazy. This will be achieved  by me working as hard as I can to finish my work either in class or at home. My mom will help me stay organized so that I can know what's due the next day and what will be due next week. For the next year, I will pledge to stay organized, to keep order and to work as hard as possible.

I am looking forward to seeing my family at Christmas time  and watching Christmas movies, especially The Grinch. Watching the Grinch is a family tradition. We sit on the couch a few days from Christmas and watch it. It is very fun. We watch it from the 22 of December to the 25. We have watched it so many times that I know almost the whole thing.
I am looking forward to see'ing my family  not only because they have presents for me, but we don't get to see each other that often so times like these we get to tell amazing stories.

I think the most important idea that the Japanese borrowed from the chinese was their philosophy and religion. I think that was important because they were different from the rest of the people because of where they were located. They sent people to China to find out what was cool over there. They found out that Confucianism is very popular out there and Doaism and Buddism. Those religions caught on very fast because they wanted to become like everyone else. The Japanese used these things to make their world a better place. It really worked and from there they kept borrowing from the Chinese and getting better at everything.

One weird day when I was pulling weeds from the garden I heard lots of  yelling from the edge of the city. It sounded like the screaming of people, but I couldn't tell. I stopped what I was doing to look out into the wide area of roads and gardens. I finally see dirt flying into the air, and a Mongol leader on top of a horse. It didn't hit me at first that my mother and father were sitting in the house. When it did, I bolted back to the house. I told everyone what was happening, and they also bolted out of the house. We ran until we got to the other edge of the town.
Our other family members live there. We were safe the Mongols could not catch us now. Hopefully they didn't see us. We told our family what we saw, and they couldn't believe their ears. We all ran towards the wall, and there was MORE Mongols. We were blocked in the middle of the city, and we couldn't go anywhere. Luckily they just wanted to be our leaders and they didn't kill us.

Have you ever wondered who the griots (Grio) where and how important they were in the civilizations in West Africa? Well the grits were ancient storytellers. They told stories about what happened in the past and what may happen in the future. Most of the time they were right and the kings kept them by their side, But when they would be wrong the kings would send them off, into a deserted place.
The Griots job was to not only entertain but to remind people what happened and how something came to be. The kings relied on their stories to make sure nothing would go wrong in the time being. Griots tell stories so that means that our ancestors are griots because they told us stories of their lives
